Chapter 36: The Vision of the East

And from thence I went towards the east, and I saw the place where the sun rises, and behold, the glory of the rising sun was like the glory of the Holy One Himself.

And the angel said: 'This is the place of the rising of the righteous, for as the sun rises in the east, so shall the righteous be exalted.'

'And their light shall shine forth before all the dwellers on the earth, and the wicked shall see it and be ashamed.'

And Enoch's vision was completed, and he understood all the mysteries of heaven and earth.

And the angel said unto him: 'Go now, and reveal these things unto the sons of men, that they may turn from their wickedness and prepare themselves for the day of judgment.'
