Chapter 42: The Parable of the Vine

And the Son of Man spake a parable unto them, saying: 'Behold, I am the vine, and ye are the branches.'

'He that remaineth in Me, and I in him, the same shall bear much fruit: for without Me ye can do nothing.'

'If a man love Me, he shall be loved of My Father, and We shall come unto him, and make Our abode with him.'

'These things have I spoken unto you, that My joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.'

'By this shall all men know that ye are My disciples, if ye love one another, as I have loved you.'
