Chapter 60: The Angels of the Presence and the Angels of the Chastisement

And I saw the angels of the presence standing before the throne of the Lord, and their faces shone with glory brighter than the sun.

And I saw the angels of the chastisement, who held the instruments of torment, and their faces were as the face of a roaring lion.

And the Lord said unto them: 'Go forth and execute the judgment which I have decreed upon the sons of men.'

And they departed from the presence of the Lord with terrible power and authority.
