The Veil Between Worlds
The metaphysical boundary separating material from spiritual realms.
Exodus 34:33-35, 2 Corinthians 3:13-16
“Moses put a veil over his face. Whenever Moses entered the Lord's presence to speak with him, he removed the veil, and when he came out he told the Israelites what he had been commanded. But their minds were made dull, for to this day the same veil remains when the old covenant is read. It has not been removed, because only in Christ is it taken away.”

Quran 23:100
“Until, when death comes to one of them, he says, 'My Lord, send me back. Perhaps I may do good in that which I have left behind.' No! It is only a word he speaks; and behind them is a barzakh until the Day they will be resurrected.”

Bhagavad Gita 7:14
“This divine energy of Mine, consisting of the three modes of material nature, is difficult to overcome. But those who have surrendered unto Me can easily cross beyond it. Others, who are envious, critical, and without devotional service, cannot overcome the veil of Maya.”
Maya as illusion/veil obscuring reality
Dhammapada 243-244
“Avidya, or ignorance, is the veil that clouds the mind and prevents the perception of true reality. Through mindfulness and wisdom, this veil is lifted, and one perceives things as they truly are—impermanent, unsatisfactory, and without self.”

Avesta
“At death, the soul crosses the Chinvat Bridge, which is wider than the width of a hair and sharper than the edge of a sword. The righteous cross it easily into paradise, while the wicked fall into the abyss. This bridge is the boundary between the material and spiritual worlds.”

Prose Edda
“The rainbow bridge Bifrost separates the realm of the gods from the realm of humans. When Ragnarok comes, Bifrost will break as the sons of Muspel cross it. It stands as the boundary between the divine and human realms.”
