Resurrection & Rebirth
The transformation and renewal of the body, soul, or consciousness after death. Resurrection and rebirth appear across traditions as expressions of divine power and hope for continuation beyond mortality.
“So will it be with the resurrection of the dead. The body that is sown is perishable, it is raised imperishable; it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory.”
“Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt.”
“And you see the earth barren, then when We send down water upon it, it stirs and swells and grows every kind of beautiful growth.”
“The nature of conditioned things is to arise and pass away; through this arising and passing, the cycle of rebirth continues until nirvana is attained.”
“The soul is neither born, and nor does it die; all paths lead to the same truth, though it may seem different in appearance.”
Doctrine of reincarnation (samsara and moksha)
“At the Frashkard (Renovation), all souls will be resurrected and brought to judgment, then pass through molten metal to enter eternal paradise.”
“Izanagi journeys to Yomi seeking Izanami, though he cannot restore her; renewal and regeneration occur through cyclical return to origins.”
